Dozens of local athletes are cheering up a storm, thankful for their new six thousand 400 square foot gym.
The gym which is on Brandon Avenue used to be the old CMT Building. It officially belongs to Synergy Cheer of Virginia. The group is nationally recognized for its cheerleading and tumbling skills.
Other area teams will also get to use the new facility.

Synergy in August Edition of American Cheerleader Magazine! Take a look in the August edition of American Cheerleader magazine to see our own Synergy cheerleaders! While in Baltimore, MD in April, for the Return to Atlantis National Championships, American Cheerleader Magazine awarded Synergy their Editor's Choice Award for 2006! Staff members have been traveling all across the country to 23 different major Nationals and choosing one exceptional squad per event that displays the strongest combination of sportsmanship, talent, togetherness and leadership!! They have presented this all-encompassing honor to only 23 squads that embody the spirit of American Cheerleader Magazine! With all of the awesome programs that were present at the Return to Atlantis All-star Challenge, we were completely surprised and totally honored and excited to have been chosen by American Cheerleader for this award!! We already know how awesome our cheerleaders and program are, but it is so great to be recognized and validated in this way by such a prestigious organization!!
